Three log lines — what the script can't warn you about on its own.
That's the time until the pool answers the mining protocol — the latency the miner actually feels. TCP is only the first handshake.
Run it 2–3 times and throw away the first round: cold DNS inflates the numbers only on debut.
Low TCP with high stratum? The pool accepted the connection near you, but the real mining server may be across an ocean.

A browser can't open a stratum connection — the protocol the miner uses. The script downloads ~100 lines of plain Python, no dependencies, and measures TCP + stratum handshake from your house. It's open source on GitHub (BaroneClub/teste-pools): read it before you run it.
It's the shortcut. The cautious path is download, read, then run: curl -sL the .py, open it in an editor, then python3 teste_pools.py. Don't use sudo. The script only makes network connections to the listed pools and prints the table.
It depends on where you are. The region estimate is a geographic guess; the command measures your actual line. AtlasPool often wins on anycast, but CDNs lie — the column that matters is Stratum, not TCP.
Yes. Install it from python.org and check “Add to PATH”. In PowerShell the command uses curl.exe and python (no 3). On Mac and Linux, Python 3 already ships with most installs.
