Educational comparison with live prices — not financial advice. “In 1 year” uses today's price, no forecast. Solo mining is a hobby and a lottery, not an investment.
On average, the cost until a solo block outlives the hardware — that's why it's a hobby and a lottery, not an investment. Your odds by period are on Solo Chance.
Nameplate watts, your tariff, and live quotes.
Watts × hours × tariff, in your currency.

Cost, power draw, and the question that never dies: is it worth it?
Three numbers: your miner's watts, the electricity rate, and hours online. A Bitaxe Gamma (~18 W) running 24/7 uses ~13 kWh/month — about $2–4/month at a typical US residential rate, or ~R$12/month at R$0.95/kWh. An Antminer S21 Pro (~3,510 W) blows past R$2,400/month in Brazil. The calculator above runs the exact math with your tariff and currency.
As an investment, almost never: the chance of finding a solo block is a lottery, and the expected value per block often costs millions in electricity. As a hobby, a learning lab, and a ~3 BTC lottery ticket, thousands of people still say yes. The calculator shows the honest numbers so you can decide.
The club operation is mining right now — watch it live or run the odds on this bill.
Mine, rent hashrate, or buy sats — same money, three destinations.
A Bitaxe Ultra draws ~15 W and a Bitaxe Gamma ~18 W — less than a light bulb. 24/7, a Gamma uses ~13 kWh/month. It's the cheapest way to sit in the solo-mining lottery.
Instead of buying hardware, you rent mining power from someone else (e.g. MiningRigRentals) and point it at the pool you want. The price is quoted in BTC per PH per day — the calculator pulls the live suggested price and converts it to your currency.
Different games: buying gets you sats for sure; solo mining spends the same money on tickets in a ~3 BTC lottery. The three paths show both sides (and hashrate rental in the middle) with live prices — the call is yours, and nothing here is financial advice.
