You pay for someone else's mining power and point it at the pool you want (e.g. Parasite, CKPool). You don't buy hardware or pay the miner's power bill — just the rental, quoted in BTC per PH per day.
Each marketplace uses the unit that suits its book. MiningRigRentals, Parasite Refinery, and KissMyHash already speak PH·day; NiceHash and Braiins Hashpower quote EH/day. Without normalizing, 0.50 BTC/EH looks a thousand times more expensive than 0.00050 BTC/PH — and it's the same price.
It depends on liquidity, KYC, fees, minimums, and where you want to point the hash. The cheapest row is not automatically the best fill. This page is a comparable reference; the club operation uses MiningRigRentals.
